- It has to be taught by the Holy Spirit
- Keep your tongue from evil
- Leaves no room for compromise for evil
- It offers us many days that we may see good
Psalm 128:1-4
Wisdom in Proverbs: The fear of the Lord is the only source of true wisdom. Wisdom is personified and makes an appeal to the whole human race. Wisdom's appeal: Proverbs 1:20-25
The fear of the Lord produces a hatred of evil. Proverbs 8:13, Proverbs 10:27
The fear of the Lord produces a confidence. Proverbs 14:26-27
- It gives strong confidence
- God's children will have a place of refuge
- It is the source of life
- Keeps us from the snares of death. Both physical and spiritual death.
Proverbs 19:23
- It leads to life
- A person will abide in satisfaction
- They will not be visited with evil. That's almost too good to be true, but it is true!
