"Lord, make me like chalk"
Psalm 101:6 "My eyes shall be on the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with Me; he who walks in a perfect way, he shall serve Me."
The Lord is looking for a people who are perfect to serve Him. The word "perfect" in this Psalm applies to someone who has achieved a proper balance between his inner and outer life, who has found a harmony between what he is and what he apprears to be. This is a "practice-what-you-preach" person, a "take-off-the-mask" man. Such English words as "integrity" and "integrated" come closest to conveying this biblical concept.
My paraphrase for this scriptural idea of perfection is "all-the-way-throughness." When you take a piece of chalk and break it in half you find that it is the same on the inside as it is on the outside. What you see is what you get. This is the kind of person the Lord is looking for to serve Him. My prayer requests are more along the lines of, "Lord, make me llike chalk"

My family and I were very active members of this Church from 1995, in the Cumming’s living room, thru December, 1999, when I moved to TN. This is the most loving Church with the warmest members I have ever experienced in my 55 years of life. God used Pastor Joe, PJ as we call him, to carry my daughter, Jennifer and me through some very difficult times. Because of the grace of God, our family and this loving Church family, we made it through the illness and death of my husband and son. Without the love and prayers of our family and friends and this Church family, I honestly don't think I could have endured this pain. I will be forever grateful to Pastor Joe, his lovely wife, Lois and the members I now call my extended Church family. I wish I could be there for the dedication of your new facility, but since I can't I send my blessings.
In His Love,
