It has been an ubelievable journey here in Panama City Beach, Florida. In August 1995 we started meeting in our living room on Sunday nights to worship, fellowship and have a Bible study. Little did we know that 14 years later our kids would be off to college and we would be on the threshold of meeting in our own building on our own property.

The strange building you are looking at is a Sprung Structure. The pre-fab metal buildings were just as expensive as conventional buildings. So we checked out a few churches in Tallahassee and like what we saw. With aircraft aluminum I-beams and a teflon impregnated fabric streched over it, it became a point of interest for all who drove by on U.S. 98.

Don't let the exterior fool you. People have coined it the onion building, the dome building, the hershey's kiss building and an upside down boat. The interior is complete with sanctuary, kitchen, classrooms & restrooms. Every person I've had the privilege to show the building has expressed a big "Wow" factor. That is the unexpected cavernous interior.

With all that said, we are delighted to have a place to call home and our own. At my age (55) many people are winding down and planning how to retire. I feel I'm just winding up and getting started. We look forward to the contribution we can make to the Body of Christ at large and to Bay County.

Serving God and loving it!
